A little about us:

Slant Street Records is a local family-owned and operated small business. We buy and sell new and used LPs, 45s, CDs and cassettes. We also sell new & used turntables and other vintage audio equipment.

Co-Owners Mike and Collin have been selling records online for over 10 years. They operated covertly out of the basement under Great Harvest Bread Co. for many years.  After the space above opened up, they took it as a sign to pursue their legit record shop dreams. They began a brief stylistic project, giving a record store makeover to the building. After the grand opening in October 2021, Slant took off. It’s safe to say the shop has been very warmly welcomed into the Missoula music community.  

In addition to the shop, you can also check out our curated bins of records located at Betty's Divine on the Missoula Hip-Strip. If you’re looking to start your collection off strong (for cheap), head over to the Montana Antique Mall at331 Railroad Street in Missoula and check out our RECORD DUNGEON, booth #29 for tons of cheap records, tapes, CDs and other special items of interest.

  • Simple answer is no, we will always accept records during our normal operating hours but we are often unable to thoughtfully evaluate them right away; in that case you are invited to leave them with a name and number and we’ll call you back ASAP! If you have to make a house call or you’re skeptical if we’ll buy it, feel free to call us during normal business hours and we’d be happy to accommodate those needs for you.

  • We have been selling records online for over 10 years, but we opened the shop in October of 2021.

  • Yes!! Being a shop on the smaller side, we struggle to keep every amazing title in stock. Especially considering we specialize in curation. You are always welcome to inquire with us about anything you’re looking for that you don’t see.
